The Mechanism of Infection
Clone fidelity cleared the believability bar; novelty made it worth sharing; and the short-video engagement loop rewarded exactly the "wait — is this real?" ambiguity that drove the shares. Crucially, the controversy became a second trigger: every debate post re-seeded the original. The loop fed on its own dispute.
