Is Agentforce real or marketing?
Both. It is a genuine product capability (AI agents on Salesforce's platform) AND a wholesale rebrand of $39.4B of existing revenue. The 10-K explicitly states no revenue allocation changed on rebrand. The $800M Agentforce ARR and $2.9B "Agentforce + Data 360" ARR are disclosed in the 8-K with a formal defined-term methodology (not pure call commentary) but are NOT audited revenue lines. Crucially, the $2.9B folds in ~$1.1B of acquired Informatica ARR, so the organic-AI figure is smaller than the headline. Treat the AI ARR as defined-but-unaudited, and net out the acquisition.
Why is cRPO growing 16% if subscription only grows 10%?
RPO metrics capture contracted future revenue including multi-year deals. If enterprises are signing longer Agentforce contracts without yet deploying, cRPO leads revenue. If those contracts don't renew (MIT ROI failure), the deferred revenue converts to churn, not revenue.
What does $256/share Benioff selling tell us?
Nothing alarming at 2,250 shares. His 10+ million shares across vehicles make this mechanical. The more relevant data point is the 10b5-1 plan was adopted January 9, 2025 — right as Agentforce was being pitched to investors.
Why isn't NRR disclosed?
Salesforce has consistently declined to disclose net revenue retention as a standalone metric. cRPO growth and subscription revenue growth are the closest proxies. The absence of NRR disclosure for a $40B SaaS company at the center of AI monetization claims is an information gap.
How does Salesforce compare to NOW on genuine AI monetization?
NOW discloses that "Now Assist net new ACV more than doubled YoY" (also call-stated, no $ filed). CRM discloses $800M Agentforce ARR (call-stated). Both companies have the same structural problem: AI revenue is managed-call-stated, not filed. See NOW-sourced-figures.md.
